Large, unoptimised images quietly slow WordPress sites down, but most tools either add another service to manage or hide too much of what is happening behind the scenes.
We built Squo to handle image optimisation directly inside WordPress, from compressing new uploads and resizing oversized files to bulk-optimising existing libraries, creating modern formats and restoring originals when needed. I shaped the product, the admin experience and the wider system around one simple idea: lean images, fast sites and zero extra work.
